The development and deployment of the Scout IPPM app was made possible by generous funding from an Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) grant (UG-KTTR-2022-101845) awarded to Professor Nigel Raine, University of Guelph.

Raine Lab

Nigel Raine and his team study the behaviour and ecology of wild bees and other pollinating insects with the goals of improving pollinator health and conserving pollinators and the essential ecosystem (pollination) services they provide. Members of the Raine Lab aim to address fundamentally important scientific research questions that also have direct real-world benefits for pollinator conservation and sustainable agriculture. Engaging the relevant stakeholder groups and communicating and translating research results in a useful and understandable way to the most appropriate audiences are critical parts of the Raine Lab mission.

The mobile app that empowers Canadian farmers & crop scouts to track pests and pollinators, providing farm-specific integrated management recommendations.
